Enhanced Optical Services (situated opposite Morrissons at 209 Hatfield Road), celebrated it’s official opening today. Normally a place of careful, methodical measurements & calculations, the opticians practice became a hive of activity , in celebration of their official opening ceremony and the receipt of a sizeable donation cheque.
Ann Main MP officially opened the store, and participated in the presentation of a cheque for £875.00, given to EyeNeedSight (the charity founded to distribute Style-Eyes frames) which will go towards the production & distribution of the “Style-Eyes” modular spectacle frames. She was also able to try out a pair of “Style-Eyes” frames first-hand, along with most attendees; as well as view the deployable “Optician in a Box” kits, which will allow the frames to be assembled in a matter of minutes, anywhere in the world.
Attended by the Mayor for St Albans Salih Gaygusuz, Ann Main MP, as well as Chairman for the Chamber of Commerce David Clarke, St. Albans City FC owner Lawrence Levy, Councillor Beric Read & Philanthropy club founder Afzaal Mauthoor (amongst others); the event focussed on the demonstration of a new Modular Spectacle frame, known as “Style-Eyes”, created by Enhanced Optical Services owner John Snelgrove. John created this new frame design with the intention of providing it to charities, and non-profit organisations, for distribution in impoverished nations worldwide.
John Snelgrove, and the staff at Enhanced Optical Services, would like to invite you to visit them, and try on a pair of Style-Eyes frames for yourself. Any purchase of frames (over £69) at EOS includes a charitable donation to EyeNeedSight, as well as a free eye test, and a free second pair of frames; with each purchase, you’re providing the gift of sight to someone who desperately needs it.
